Please be aware that many of the roads in and around the village are narrow, so please drive carefully and keep an eye out for pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders.
Free parking is available on site.
Public Transport
The nearest railway station is Pulborough, with regular trains from London, Portsmouth and Bognor.
A ten minute taxi ride of about 3 miles will get you quickly to our Cellar Door.
On Foot
West Chiltington is blessed with many public footpaths and bridleways, so if you are staying in the village then on foot is a great way to reach us.
What To Wear
Our cellar door is cosy and informal so casual clothing is fine, but do feel free to dress for the occasion!
However, the paths to the vineyard are uneven and can be slippery so please bring outdoor footwear if you would also like a vineyard tour. And of course, bring clothing appropriate for the weather forecast.
Changing Your Booking
If you need to re-arrange your visit for a different date, changes are free of charge providing you let us know at least 5 days before your booked date. You can browse the list of available visit dates on our events page: smockalley.co.uk/events.
To request a change, contact us at info@smockalley.co.uk. Please include a phone number with your request so we can arrange a new date with you directly.
Cancellation & Refunds
You may cancel your booking and receive a full refund provided you notify us at least 14 days before your booked date. Cancellations between 14 days and 5 days before your booked visit will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be possible if there are less than 5 days till your booking, but you can instead request that we transfer your booking to a friend.
Please contact us on info@smockalley.co.uk if you would like to request a refund. Refunds will be made to your original payment method. If your booking was made using a Gift Voucher we will issue a new Gift Voucher that you may use on our website.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I bring my dog?
Well behaved dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead while touring the vineyard.
Can I bring my children?
Well behaved children are welcome to accompany you on vineyard tours, but will not be able to enter the cellar door tasting room. All guests for wine tasting events must be aged 18 or over.
